What I really appreciated was how the owners clearly understand what travelers actually need – there’s proper storage space (not just a tiny closet), a functional kitchenette that you can actually cook in, and the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes like some places I’ve stayed.

You’ll figure out quickly that the morning crowds on Krupowki are manageable if you grab coffee before 9 AM, and there’s this little side street just two minutes away where locals go for groceries – way cheaper than the tourist shops. The apartment gives you that insider advantage without having to stay way out in some remote guesthouse. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle (welcome to Zakopane’s old town), but the hosts actually give you realistic directions to spots that usually have space, not just the obvious places that are always full. I stayed here during the shoulder season in October, and while the town was still busy with weekend visitors, having a real kitchen meant I could make proper breakfasts and save money for the mountain cable cars and decent dinners. The 8-point rating makes total sense – it’s not luxury, but it delivers on what matters most when you’re exploring the Tatras and want a genuine home base in town.
