The building itself has this understated elegance that you don’t immediately notice from the street, but once you’re inside apartment 23, you get it. This isn’t your typical mountain lodge with hunting trophies and plaid everywhere – it’s got this sophisticated, almost urban vibe that somehow works perfectly against the backdrop of the Sudeten Mountains.

What really struck me was how thoughtfully everything’s been put together. I mean, you can tell someone actually lives in this space (or at least designed it like they do) rather than just throwing together generic hotel furniture. The kitchen actually has decent knives and real coffee – not those sad little packets you usually get. The windows face toward the hills, and in the morning you can hear the town waking up slowly, which honestly beats the chaos of those big resort hotels down near the gondola station. Parking was surprisingly easy too, which anyone who’s driven through Karpacz during ski season will appreciate. The location puts you close enough to walk to Kopa for hiking or grab dinner at one of the local spots, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you’re not dealing with groups of people wandering around at all hours. Plus, there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that doesn’t feel the need to plaster star ratings everywhere or call itself “luxury” every five minutes. It just… is what it is, and what it is happens to be really, really good.
