The name had me expecting some grand hotel setup, but this is actually something much better – it’s tucked into this converted building on Przemysłowa that feels like you’re staying in someone’s thoughtfully designed second home rather than a typical tourist spot. The street itself is pretty quiet, which honestly surprised me given how close you are to Karpacz’s main action.

The apartment itself has this warm, almost cozy-modern thing going on – I mean, the name “Karmelowy” (caramel) actually makes sense once you’re inside because there’s this golden-brown color palette that somehow doesn’t feel cheesy or overdone. What really sold me was the kitchen setup; it’s not one of those tiny hotel kitchenettes where you can barely make coffee. You can actually cook here if you want, and after a long day hiking in the Karkonosze, sometimes you just want to grab groceries from the local Żabka and make something simple instead of hunting for dinner reservations. The Wi-Fi is solid too – worked perfectly for video calls back home, which isn’t always a given in mountain towns.

Location-wise, you’re close enough to walk to the Śnieżka cable car station without breaking a sweat, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you’re not dealing with crowds of day-trippers outside your window at 7 AM. I loved that you could walk to Wang Church in about ten minutes – most visitors drive there, but the walk through the residential streets gives you a much better feel for how locals actually live in Karpacz. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s tried to park near the town center during peak season will appreciate. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything just works the way you’d want it to. Check-in was refreshingly simple – none of that awkward small talk you sometimes get at family-run places, just efficient and friendly. If you’re the type who likes having your own space after a day in the mountains, rather than dealing with hotel common areas and breakfast schedules, this hits that sweet spot perfectly.
