The bathroom setup is refreshingly practical too, with water pressure that actually works consistently, which anyone who’s stayed in older European buildings will appreciate.

Here’s the thing about the location that the address doesn’t tell you – you’re maybe a five-minute walk from Krupówki, but far enough off the main drag that you’re not dealing with the late-night tourist chaos. I could easily walk to those little oscypek stands (the smoked cheese is absolutely worth trying, by the case) and the cable car station without needing to navigate crowds or hunt for parking. The building itself sits in one of those quieter residential pockets where you’ll see actual locals going about their daily routines, which gives you a much better feel for Zakopane beyond the tourist bubble. During my stay in early fall – honestly one of the best times to visit if you can swing it – the location meant I could catch those gorgeous mountain views without the summer crowds, and the apartment’s windows frame the Tatras beautifully in the morning light. That 9-star rating makes perfect sense when you consider what most people are actually looking for: a clean, comfortable base that doesn’t break the bank but puts you right where you need to be. It’s not trying to be something it’s not, and in a town where you’ll spend most of your time hiking or exploring anyway, that kind of unpretentious comfort is exactly what works.
