The place sits right on Mariana Zająca street – and look, I know that sounds like nothing to most people, but if you know Zakopane at all, you’ll get why this matters. You’re literally walking distance from Krupówki (the main pedestrian strip where all the chaos happens), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with drunk tourists singing Polish folk songs at 2 AM.

The apartment itself has that solid, no-nonsense Polish mountain vibe – think clean lines, functional furniture, and everything you actually need without the Instagram-worthy nonsense that usually costs extra. The kitchen’s properly equipped, which saved me a fortune since eating out in Zakopane every meal will absolutely wreck your budget, especially during ski season. What really got me was the little details… decent coffee cups (not those tiny hotel things), actual hangers in the closet, and – this might sound weird – but the shower had proper water pressure. You know how mountain towns can be with their plumbing, right? Well, not an issue here.

The whole Nellin setup feels more like staying at a friend’s place than some sterile hotel room. I mean, it’s clearly a 3-star spot, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or a concierge, but the value is honestly ridiculous. The building’s got that solid European apartment block feel – thick walls, so you’re not hearing every conversation from next door. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that standing-around-the-lobby nonsense. They give you the keys, show you where everything is, and let you get on with your life. During my stay in February, the heating worked perfectly (crucial detail if you’re visiting in winter), and there’s actually space to dry your ski gear, which… trust me, you’ll appreciate after a day on Kasprowy Wierch. The location really shines when you want to grab groceries at Biedronka or hit up one of the local milk bars for cheap pierogi, but you can also walk to the fancier restaurants when you’re feeling ambitious. It’s that sweet spot where you feel connected to actual Zakopane life, not just the tourist bubble.
