Maybe it’s psychological, but being surrounded by forest instead of tour buses makes a difference. The local bus connections are solid if you don’t want to walk, and honestly, the few times I needed to ask the host about anything, they responded quickly and knew the area inside and out. It’s one of those places that earns its 9 rating not because it’s fancy, but because it just works – and works well.
