I mean, three stars doesn’t sound like much on paper, but this place punches way above its weight – there’s something to be said for family-run spots that actually care about the details. The apartment itself feels more like staying at someone’s well-kept mountain home than a typical rental, and I suspect that’s exactly what it used to be. You’ll notice little touches that hotels miss – proper kitchen knives that actually cut things, decent coffee setup, windows that open wide enough to let in that crisp mountain air without the tourist street noise.

What really sold me was waking up and realizing I could see the Tatras from the window without craning my neck or fighting other guests for balcony space. The parking situation is refreshingly straightforward too – no hunting around narrow streets or paying extra fees, which honestly becomes a bigger deal than you’d think when you’re hauling ski gear or hiking boots. The 9-rating makes sense when you consider it’s doing exactly what it promises without the pretense. Sure, it’s not going to have a spa or room service, but when you’re in Zakopane, you’re probably spending your days on the mountains or exploring the town anyway. The apartment gives you a solid base that feels authentic to the area – I actually heard Polish families talking in the courtyard, not just English-speaking tourists, which tells you something about how locals view the place. If you’re the type who wants to experience Zakopane more like a temporary resident than a hotel guest, this works perfectly.
