Apartament Adasiowa Polana by Apart Concept Podhale
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Apartament Adasiowa Polana, I wasn’t sure what to expect from the name alone (it’s quite a mouthful, isn’t it?). But this place in Kościelisko turned out to be one of those gems that makes you want to keep it secret from other travelers. The building sits quietly on Chotarz-Bór, and you know what struck me first? How peaceful it felt, even though you’re actually pretty close to all the Zakopane action without being stuck in the tourist chaos.
The apartment itself – well, it’s clear someone put real thought into this space. Everything feels deliberately chosen rather than just grabbed from a hotel supply catalog. The windows frame these gorgeous views of the Tatra foothills, and honestly, I spent way too much time just sitting there with my morning coffee watching the light change on the mountains. The kitchen actually works (you’d be surprised how rare that is in vacation rentals), and I mean really works – good knives, decent cookware, enough space to spread out if you want to make a proper meal with those amazing local cheeses from the market in Zakopane. The folks at Apart Concept Podhale clearly know what they’re doing because all those little details that usually annoy you in rentals? They’ve sorted them out. Strong wifi, plenty of hot water, blackout curtains that actually block light.
What I really loved about staying here was how it felt like a proper base for exploring this part of Podhale. You’re close enough to walk to some fantastic hiking trails – the path up towards Czerwone Wierchy starts practically around the corner, and locals will tell you it’s way less crowded early morning. Plus, parking is straightforward (which, if you’ve ever tried to park in central Zakopane during summer, you’ll appreciate). The place gets its 4-star rating honestly – it’s comfortable and well-maintained without being fussy or pretentious. I actually ended up extending my stay an extra night because I wasn’t ready to leave, and the check-in process was refreshingly simple. No lengthy explanations or complicated key situations, just clear instructions and someone actually reachable if you need help. The 9-point rating from other guests makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s the kind of place that delivers exactly what it promises, then adds those thoughtful touches that make you remember why you love traveling in the first place.
