You know what really struck me about Apart-Center Motola Residence when I first walked in? It’s got this perfect balance of being polished enough for a proper vacation but still feeling like you could actually live there for a while. The location on Kasprusie street is honestly brilliant – you’re close enough to Zakopane’s main drag that you can walk to all the restaurants and shops, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos right outside your window.

The apartments themselves are what really won me over, though. I mean, when you see “residence” in the name, you kind of expect something sterile and corporate, but these places actually have personality. The kitchens are properly equipped – not just the usual mini-fridge and coffee maker situation – so you can hit up the local market and cook some of those amazing Polish sausages and fresh bread. The living spaces feel generous too, which is rare in mountain towns where every square meter costs a fortune. I particularly loved how quiet it gets at night; you can hear the wind in the trees but none of the street noise that usually comes with staying somewhere central. The Wi-Fi actually works reliably (always a gamble in the mountains), and there’s decent parking, which anyone who’s tried to navigate Zakopane’s narrow streets will appreciate.

What really sets this place apart is how it works for different kinds of trips. If you’re here for the hiking – and honestly, why else would you come to Zakopane – you’ve got easy access to the trails without having to fight through the crowds on Krupówki every time you want to head out. But if the weather turns nasty (which it does, this is the Tatras after all), you’ve got space to spread out and relax instead of being cramped in a tiny hotel room. The staff knows the area well too; they’ll tell you which trails are actually worth your time and which restaurants the locals go to versus the tourist traps. I stayed here during shoulder season in October, and it was perfect – crisp mornings for hiking, cozy evenings cooking dinner and planning the next day’s adventure. Even when the place was full, it never felt crowded or noisy. Honestly, for the price point and that 9-star rating, you’re getting way more space and comfort than you’d find at most hotels in the area.
