Alpenhof Pansion turned out to be a pleasant surprise during our trip to the Carpathians. This three-star hotel is located on Sichovyh Strilciv Street in Slavske, and although I was initially a bit worried about its location (seemed like somewhere on the outskirts), it’s actually just a ten-minute walk to the resort center. Free parking right next to the building is a huge plus, especially in winter when you don’t want to drag your skis halfway across town.
The rooms are quite cozy, though not luxurious — but honestly, after a day on the slopes, there’s everything you need to relax here. Hot water was always available, heating worked perfectly (we tested it in February!), and even the Wi-Fi didn’t let us down. The staff is very friendly and ready to help with any questions — the hosts know all the local “tricks,” from the best hiking routes to the tastiest mountain huts. The only thing that might be slightly bothersome is the sounds from neighboring rooms in the evening, the walls aren’t the thickest, but nothing critical.
Breakfast is served in a small dining room, and while the selection isn’t huge, everything is delicious and hearty — the homemade pastries are particularly impressive. In summer, they say, there are wonderful terraces with mountain views, but we were there in winter and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere inside. For this price and with an 8.0 rating — it’s really a good option for those looking for a comfortable place without unnecessary frills. We’d come back here again!
