All In Jacuzzi Apartment
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “All In Jacuzzi Apartment” I thought it sounded a bit gimmicky, you know? But after staying there on Strada General Dragalina, I get it now. This place actually delivers on what it promises, and that 9.9 rating isn’t just inflated review nonsense.
The location is pretty smart if you know Petroşani at all. You’re on the seventh floor of this residential block, which means you get these surprisingly decent views over the city without being stuck in some touristy bubble. The building itself is typical Romanian apartment style – nothing fancy from the outside, but that’s actually part of the charm. Getting up to apartment 109 is straightforward enough, though I’d definitely recommend packing light since it’s a bit of a climb if the elevator’s acting up (which, let’s be real, happens sometimes in these older buildings). What really got me was how quiet it is up there – I mean, you’re in the middle of Petroşani but once you’re inside, it’s remarkably peaceful.
The jacuzzi situation is honestly the star of the show here. It’s not some cramped hotel bathtub pretending to be a spa – this is a proper setup that actually fits two people comfortably. After spending days exploring the Retezat area or just wandering around the city, sinking into that thing with a beer from the little market downstairs… well, it’s exactly what you want. The apartment itself has this lived-in feel that’s way better than sterile hotel rooms. The kitchen’s functional if you want to grab groceries from the Kaufland nearby, and there’s enough space to spread out without feeling cramped. I noticed they’ve got blackout curtains that actually work – small detail, but crucial if you’re trying to sleep in during summer when the sun’s up early.
What I really appreciated was how the whole experience felt authentic rather than packaged. The host clearly knows the area and gave solid recommendations for places locals actually go, not just the obvious tourist spots. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this neighborhood, but there’s usually something available if you circle around the block. The only minor thing I’d mention is that the water pressure in the shower is decent but not amazing – though honestly, when you’ve got a jacuzzi as your main bathing situation, it hardly matters. For a 3-star place, this punches way above its weight class, and I can see why people keep coming back. It’s the kind of spot where you actually feel like you’re staying somewhere special rather than just crashing for the night.
