It’s located a bit away from the main road in Усті, so it’s very quiet here (even at night you can only hear the sound of a river somewhere nearby). Parking is right next to the house — no need to drag your luggage for kilometers like sometimes happens in mountain hotels.
The house itself is very cozy, with those classic A-frame walls that create a special atmosphere. The rooms aren’t huge, but they’re thoughtfully designed down to the smallest details — everything you need is there, including a small kitchen (very convenient if you want to cook something yourself with local products). The hosts live nearby and are always ready to help — they told me about several secret hiking routes that you won’t find in guidebooks. Check-in was quick, without unnecessary formalities.
What I especially liked were the views from the windows and the small terrace where you can sit with coffee in the morning. In summer it’s perfect for hiking (Hoverla is quite close), and in winter, they say, it’s wonderful for skiers — there are several small lifts in the area. The 8.0 out of 10 rating is well deserved — the only downside is that WiFi sometimes glitches, but honestly, in the mountains that’s even a plus.
